All documents issued by a foreign authority to be used before a Spanish Public Notary or any other Public Authority must be translated by an official sworn translator.

Sworn translation and interpreting is understood as a translation or interpretation which certifies its accuracy with regards to the original document. Therefore only qualified translators who are registered in the corresponding Sworn Translators and Interpreters Register will be entitled to certify accuracy in a translation.
